​Safe Roads Driving School currently offers door-to-door pickup and drop-off exclusively for students residing within Jersey City. If you live outside Jersey City, you'll meet your instructor at a designated pickup location within Jersey City — for example, Journal Square.

Our staff may text or call you from (501) 500-2027 or (551) 525-4554 to confirm lesson details, road test appointments, or scheduling changes — save these number so you recognize it. We may ask for payment by phone or text as part of confirming a booking, but we will never ask you to send a verification code, a password, or a gift card. If a message claiming to be from Safe Roads Driving School feels off or asks for something unusual, call us directly at (201) 402-2008 to confirm before sending anything.

NJMVC Text Scam Alert

Please be aware of text messages you might receive from New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, local law enforcement or state police. NJMVC will NOT text you regarding any unpaid fines or suspensions. All communications are through the mail.

Tips on Recognizing and Receiving Scam Texts
 

  • NEVER click links or reply to unknown texts

  • Immediately delete or mark messages as “Spam”

  • NEVER send any codes to “unlock” your sign in

  • Sent from a random e-mail address or non-local phone number

  • Links will not match the true website they are claiming they are from

  • Will have false information that can easily be disproved with a simple google search

  • Changes in wording or grammar

  • Immediately delete or mark messages as “Spam”

  • If you are unsure, go to the actual website or call and speak with a representative. When getting a phone number, use the company's website to find it. Sometimes the phone number provided when you google a company is also a scam.

  • If you do click on unknown links and think your phone or computer have been compromised, reset to last back up or factory settings and immediately change passwords.

  • If payment has been sent, contact your bank immediately to cancel the transaction.
